FreeUsername is the free browser version. It checks 3,450+ sites from any device, with nothing to install.
Questions, answered
Can the developer see what I search?
No. Your phone contacts each public website directly, so searches and results never reach us. The websites you check can see your IP address, just as when you visit them in a browser.
Is it really free?
Yes, there's nothing to buy. You get free searches every day, and an optional rewarded ad unlocks more searches or a stretch of Deep search and export.
Are the results always right?
No tool can promise that. Websites change, show bot checks or return placeholder pages, so some sites show as Blocked or Unknown and some matches will be wrong. Open each result to verify it.
Is there an iPhone version?
Not yet, but one is on the way. Until then, the web version works in any browser.
Is this the official WhatsMyName project?
No. This app uses the open-source WhatsMyName dataset by Micah Hoffman under CC BY-SA 4.0, but it is not affiliated with or endorsed by that project.
